Created from a concept honoring an original owner, Chef Zachary Pelacchio, BackBar has been serving our community for 9 years and counting. Starting inside an antique store, we served a handful of basic dishes, including our famous dumplings. As we’ve grown and changed  through a few different phases, we’ve always had the same dream; creating a casual oasis for both our local friends, and out-of-town guests.

Deep inside an old repair shop on Warren street, tucked behind colorful planters sits a rare gem in Hudson, NY. Walking through the front door you’re greeted with rich antiques, comfortable couches and funky lighting. Beyond the bar in the back is BackBar’s yard, decorated with orange antique biergarden-inspired tables and twinkly string lights, it sets the perfect mood for a delicious meal with new and old friends. Our latest menu features new dishes created by our chef to honor our old ways, and we’ve refined some of our old dishes to evolve them further for our ever changing community. With new specials every week, everyone is bound to find a favorite dish.
